What are you towing with?

Otherwise all I really care about is building it so that it can do the speed limit over the passes here in Colorado :D

You'll be far ahead of me. I anticipate 35 MPH over the big passes for about an hour this fall.

good thing it holds 14 gallons of coolant.

paragraph on the top.

No passenger vehicle, pickup truck, or RV may tow more than one other vehicle without a Commercial Class A license with the proper endorsement.

I didn't read the section... but that depends on the definition of vehicle.

If the trailer is defined as a vehicle... then having 5 Jeeps on the trailer wouldn't matter as you are TOWING a single vehicle. Is that there to prevent the ding dongs trying to tow a camper with a boat behind that??

Illinois defines the trailer as a vehicle. Some other states do also.

yea you guys are probably right.

I believe they are correct, the trailer is the vehicle.

Think about folks heading out to the desert with four dirt bikes on a trailer. The CHP would make a lot of money popping folks without Class A licenses.

Yes

The additional opening in the roof might become pretty helpful when car is stuck - and both doors are blocked by the obstacle! :-D

Thanks it was heavy just leave lots of following distance and drive slow.lol
Good thing it is a fifth wheel and not a bumper pull, I assume that much weight so far back doesn't create sway with a fifth wheel. :patriot:

I'm done towing with the lifted Cherokee. For me, it is XJ's parked neatly on the driveway, and my 2006 WK with 5.7L Hemi connected to my Fleetwood Bayside. Navigation system dialed in and movie in the DVD player for the kid.

Sheesh...things change fast for me. Since I posted that pic above, I sold the pop-up, bought and sold a Kodiak travel trailer, sold the WK and Kodiak, bought the Itasca Class C below, and moved to SoCal. I just bought a Tundra and am now looking for a flat trailer to tow my junk. I think I need to relax...

02 Expedition with a 5.4. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. Even with brakes on both trailer axles it can be a white knuckle adventure.
ha, i just heard how shitty the brakes are on the 1/2 ton fords today.

My 02 F150 towed and braked fine. Must be the added weight of the Expedition?

I disagree. I towed with my '02 with no trailer brakes and never had a problem braking or towing. Trailer was heavy as crap compared to my new set up.
