The Official CraigsList Thread...

Theres an FC sitting in a feild by Paris airfeild, nothing on the property but the FC and a real estate sign: been tempted to contact the real estate agent about it but the reality is I haven't touched my MJ in a long time and this FC would jest sit there rusting next to the MJ.

How much is left of that FC?

I came across this while looking for some RE front springs:

I think the price is a little high for what is actually 1/2 of a lift kit. Add a set of leafs to this and I think the price is about the same as retail. Also I think the coils are interchangable from TJ to XJ but what about the other components here, do they fit both?

I run those on my jeep. SOld my steelies & picked them up. My old Dwindows were 42lbs each, current "5 stars" are 21.3lbs each. so 20lbs per corner in not a bad gain!
They call those "5 stars" though..the same wheels off the jarassic park Yj's:)

Is It really a 20 lb difference between aluminum and steel wheels?

Certain wheels yes..idk what the AR's outlaw 2's are, but they weigh in around 17lbs. The type 23's which are the 5 spokes weigh in around 21lbs. And those eagle alloys weigh in around 20-ish lbs as well. These "5 stars" weighed 20.3lbs on a digital scale, same scale my Dwindows 15x8 3.75" BS weighed 41.8lbs each. So yes thats a 20lbs difference. Almost every single OEM jeep wheel weighs in around 20lbs or slightly more!
What made me switch was I wanted 15x7's and a lighter wheel so I just decided to go cheap & stick to OEM since I'm only at 3" anyway. I realized the weight gain after I picked up the OEM wheel when I picked em up. Super light! So I weighed them to see the differences. I knew they'd be light but I was expecting around 30-35lbs..20 was a huge difference.

Now performance gains? Ehh idk lol. However steering left & right feels easier & I'm sure my suspensions happier its not carrying the extra 80lbs around!

I picked up these bad boys this past week, they felt really light. I'm going to paint the maroon black for a more race car look :)

Also yuo must realize steel vs cast alloy or aluminum. A steel wheel will bend which is fixable, a alloy or aluminum will crack/shatter, usually unfixable. For me I don't do rocks so I don't have a worry of shattering a wheel!
