M14x2.0 thread, 120mm long, flange head, dog tip, iso pc 10.9 or better. If you have some junk jeeps around, the lower control arm bolts are exactly the same part. Goes for WJs too, at least on the front. The ZJ and TJ iirc use a weird cam bolt.

gotta price some new tires for the 1 month old Ranger...those stock tires are pieces of shit. I have had a flat every time I go to use it. I am thinking heavier ply tires and more SLIME. Also may have a lead on some new to me 39.5's for the XJ :thumbup:
 
so...todays lesson...not bringing a spare tire with you on a trip to chicago is a dumb idea. i don't have a spare with me because i need the room in the back of the xj for some equipment/camping gear for the gig i was doing and for my brothers bachelor party tonight. i knew one of my back tires was getting pretty worn and sure enough on the way from chicago last night i picked up a screw somewhere and the tire shredded itself pretty quickly. it blew a half hour from home in a town where all of my relatives live so that was good, but it was 1am so i didn't want to wake anyone so i got to sleep in the back of the xj (after i dropped equipment off in chicago there was plenty of room)...the bad of it is now i have to miss golfing for my brothers bachelor party (im the best man and i planned the whole day) and the tire place that was across the street only has 1 31" tire and its a pricey one. i am upgrading to 32's soon if i can ever make it down to tylers to get some perches welded on my 8.8 so i don't want to spend $200 on a tire im going to use for a few months. i asked them about putting 32" tires on now, but they dont have any currently....SO...my aunt drove down to get me and we are going to the junkyard
 
man i have a couple 32's and one 235/75/15 in the garage, are you anywhere near the south side? ther not on rims but if your in town till Monday i can mount one up at my job.
 
One thing after another...... finally got all of the right bearings & seals for the Dodge this morning, and started tearing into it. Apparently, the bearings on the left side were in worse shape than I thought, they've heated up enough to melt the nylon out of the spindle nut. Amazingly enough, the dealer up in Roseville actually had one on the shelf, and at a princely $48 (and just what else am I gonna do?)

And the 30% chance of rain today has turned into thunderstorms. I drove home through rain that looked like a cow pissing on a flat rock.

Thanks to this board (and whoever sold me the front tow hooks), I was able to pull the mower I got stuck three times out (got too close to wet ground+plus turf tires=not going anywhere).

and in other news, I am going to bed after walking/hiking five miles and mowing three lawns.
 
On a local trader board there is always the same person/family wanting free handouts and they just clutter up everything that is posted by posting in it and asking if it does not sell could the HAVE it. I need to mention that neither spouse works and they have at least 4-5 kids and are complete government program parasites...so yesterday evening when they posted up wanting a hand out as usual I wanted to say "I have free contraceptives, surely you can figure out how to use those since you have figured out how to work the system so well" :D
