No need to get 5 people to agree, just ask him to find a SINGLE one without a solid axle, then smile and collect on your bet.
Just like Digger said, ZJs and WJs are solid axles front and rear (ZJ is '93-'98 Grand Cherokee, WJ is '99-'04 Grand Cherokee).
