I'm helping my friend sell the trans off his Zj, stock 1995 4x4 transmission rebuilt with 29k miles and new torque converter. Ran perfect before He parted the rig. Have the radiator too, $40 for that.

It should bolt right up to any 4.0 motor.

I believe control and length is the issue. And the fact that aw4s are cheaper and a direct swap would make it a hard sell here

But isn't it just a factor of the transfercase changing the length of everything else?

No. Transmissions are different lengths. The linkage for the tcase also ties into the side of the trans as well. So those are fitment issues.

They are controlled differently. I don't think it is compatible with the stock ecu configuration. Anything is doable but how much work is someone going to go through to swap in a subpar transmission.

So, it's still up but more for Zj's, sorry for us Xj owners, and he would throw in the radiator but u pick it up
