Yella I found a motor for ya.....

Here is guy who is selling a 97 2.5. His email is [email protected]. I think I was first person to email so I am going to let him know you are going to email him.

its a 97 and it looks and performs like brand new. I have about 17'' of lift on my jeep and 36'' bfg on it and it don't bog down, I was shock. I had like I said a corvette motor built for it after doing all of this to it and my motor will be done on the 17 th of this month. The jeep never leaves the garage so you can come take a look at it any time. I put 30 miles a month on it to the store and back in the summer time it never's leaves the garage in the winte

Same guy. I emailed him to make sure the motor was right year before I posted it. Yeah 2900 is nuts. Hope guy got gold plated pistons for that. I told to expect a email from ya.

Yella - That CO4x4 thread made me laugh -- I thought you did a nice job of delicately handling the apparent mass of folks that think you should throw LS1 money at a flipper 4-banger... too funny. BTW, if you end up with an extra 2.5 valve cover, I could use one - I have a baffle loose (where the CCV is) and the clatter sounds like I left a wrench in there when its cold!!

Well, apparently the guy has had "a hundred" calls on this engine. He's now gone from "someone make me an offer before I just trash it" to "What's it worth to ya? I have a line of folks tossing money at me."

I hate people that won't advertise a price...... and I hate it even more when they start auctioning over the phone......

Gonna go look at it/hear it run tonight and hopefully put a deposit down on it.

I have a palm centro, it's handy as hell. just tonight I was at the store looking for dinner and I thought "I want enchiladas, damn I don't have the ingredients with me" so I went online, found the recipe I used, bought the stuff, went home. :thumbup:

Ummmm...I beg to differ actually. Talking about phones and you do need to have a phone in order to call this guy about his world class motor. DJ could even pull up Craigslist and ebay while talking with the guy and show him what other comparable motors are going for. After agreeing on a price, he'd snap a quick pic of the fella for his scrapbook, email Philip and tell him to whip up two more enchiladas, Mapquest his house and then navigate on over with the GPS. :wave1:
