Xj steering column swap. (want column shift)

Hi

Im just wondering if it's possible to swap out the xjs steering column with one that has a column shifter. It's got what looks like GM column so I thought maybe there's a GM out there with column shift that would go in.
I've got the xj 100% dissaselbled so fabing a mount is no problem.
I've been searching around for similar length columns but I thought I'd throw it out there if someone has done something similar.

Some of the police and forest service vehicles had column shifters. I also think some Commanche's had it as well.
