XJ specific subwoofer enclosures

I'm at the SEMA show in vegas and what do I see in the MTX booth? custom subwoofer enclosures made just for jeep XJ's!!!

they fit on the right-hand rear corner opposite the spare tire... fit a 10" woofer, and are being shown empty, loaded with a MTX subwoofer, and loaded with both a subwoofer and 200w class D amplifier. No idea on prices or distribution, but the name "quadratec" was dropped.

they said there are no plans for a "Thunderform" molded enclosure for XJ's, just the custom box.. but it really is made specifically to fit these jeeps!!

anyone know where a guy can get one of those boxes if he isn't anywhere near the states? is there anyone on this site who has made one and would sell one to me?
i have searched this site and found some people building custom boxes, unfortunately with a brand new baby and a host of other hobbies i have zero time to make one...

or if there is anyone at all who has made drawings of any kind, i would pay you for the drawings (i have a laser cutter...)

I have the JL Audio Vantage box, which isn't made anymore.

The one that red_01_xj posted a link to is in the current Quadratec catalog for $89.95.

i am working on one for a jl 12. this will fit inside of the wheelwell and the plastic trim is cut to fit . i am looking ot sell them if anyone would be interested but im doing tests and tuning mine first

you lucky ppl, you all do music the smart way and get a box so you still have your cargo, bout 6 months ago i got outta wheeling and went compitition sound now back into wheeling and still have 3 10" momo's in the back! but oh well i will bass up the trail im heard for a little over a mile and hit 147.2db

it wouldn't be hard at all to make one for that area. just use MDF or whatever for the back area and make the front fiberglass, then you could have the woofer popped out a little to give it the right mount of airspace, and it would still look good and smooth. this is actually what i am considering doing for mine once i buy a 12 and if i want to do a sealed box. thats one thing though, it all depends what sub you run in it, because those boxes they sell are sealed, and not all subx are going to sound good. also you have the proper airspace issue too.

Maybe measured between your dash and your windshield.....at your ears, you're lucky if you're hitting 135...I could hit 140 with 2 12"s, and used a uni-directional decibel meter from my brother's work, it returned 126 peak.

Still pretty freaking loud even if it is 135.
