The truck can be however the buyer wants it... My plan was to restore to originalish, but with 17s and AT tires. Basically just a work truck. A buddy was thinking of using it to make a truck for his wife by chopping the frame in half and shortening it for a flare side bed.

It should do fine towing a Jeep. The brakes stop good, suspension is strong. The Camper Special was a mix of 3/4 ton and 1 ton parts. I think 3/4 ton suspension with 1 ton frame. When I bought it, there was a 1500-2000 lb camper in the bed and it was plenty stable. Cross winds sucked, but that's what you get with a huge cross section. It's a lot better now with an empty bed.

Issues:
Trans leaks. It needs a new output seal in the bell housing.
Otherwise, it's actually reasonably solid. I just did a pretty full tuneup along with installing the new Edelbrock carb and manifold.
