WTB-gas tank skid for 89

Don't have any spares, head th the junk yard, I've seen plenty there. Any gas tank skid from 1984~96 will fit, be sure to get the nut strips unless the rig already has a factory hitch.

I really don't have time to hit the yards, and there are not any good ones nearby. I have to drive a long way to get to one. I do have factory hitch and thanks for that tip.

Well get off your lazy arse and go look for one....Jusk kidding. There are usually a ton of people hitting the yards on a regular basis and if someone happens to find one I am sure they could grab it. However there is usually a finders fee.

Good luck :D

I have no problem paying finders fee or whatever the fair cost. So guys, pick one up for me. I have seen them advertised on the For Sale Forum for around $50.

Well, whoever you 'the few of us' are, PM me. I got no underbody protection at all and wheeling a stocker, with a sagging rear, is not so good without them. I didn't like it one bit at BB, last weekend. I know I can't afford sliders for now. Got to save up for those since they are too damn expensive.

Were you driving the red stocker on gold mtn? I was in the green YJ. My XJ was down for the count. It is almost done, again, and will be back to BB soon.

I will keep my eyes open for you.

Nope. I had a sorry looking blue XJ and went on the easy run with Mike, Chuck and Cal's dad and his wife. The way Jay and Remi looked at my Jeep, and from their comments, it was obvious Gold Mountain wasn't for me. We went on the Jacoby canyon and later ended up on the Tip Top mountain, by accident. I hit the bottom a couple of times on that trail, but no damage. I knew then I had to get the underbody protection ASAP until I get a lift.

Yep good eye Leep. That was at the first stair steps with the big rock separating the 2 lines. I tried the line to the right but couldn't make it up being open/open. So I was determined to make it up the left line and .... well this is what happens when you take a desert race guy out on the rocks.
