Looking for a set of four 16 inch rims, 4 inch backspacing, standard bolt pattern, 7 or 8 inches wide. I'm not too picky on looks or materials, as long as they fit the tires and are pretty cheap it's all good. I'd rather go with steelies than aluminum since I will be bouncing these off things, but honestly either way is fine. I can pick up within say two hours drive of Worcester MA, would rather not pay shipping right now so local only. Depending on what rims and what kind of shape they're in, willing to pay up to 200 (cheaper preferred obviously) - else, I'll be picking up some soft 8s on summit racing.

newer ford rangers/exploders have 16x7 steelies with 4.5" backspacing if you want something cheap thats very close to what your looking for, have to dremel out the center hole a tad for the front hubs on the jeep to clear, i see these rims all over for cheap, wish i knew you needed some when you grabbed those leafs from me awhile back, i had a steel set and an aluminum set i scrapped not long after

I don't think 4.5 is gonna cut it - I ran some calculations on the length of my new axle vs old, along with current backspacing, and if I want an inch or so of safety margin between the sidewalls and the springs I need less than 4" of BS. I've sadly not seen anyone selling 16x7 (or 8) wheels with 3.5" BS for a price I can afford in the bolt pattern I need, so I'm hoping to settle for 4".

not sure how much backspacing they have but I have a set of Aluminum ones I bought of bump and never used (turns out tires I was given were 16.5's not 16's) Not sure on the backspacing but they are 16's for an xj.

Jay - awesome, how much would you want for em? Pending OK backspacing of course. Also, if you still have those control arms around, I might want some of them too... turns out the uppers on the MJ are scary rusted.

Colin - huh, that's odd, maybe I did my numbers wrong, I'll have to redo them. I just know that my 15x7s with 5.25 are literally less than a quarter inch from the bolts on my leaf clamps with a stock axle. It's been worrying me for quite a while, and with the new narrower axle I need less backspacing, so I figured I'd aim for some extra wiggle room at the same time.

How late you gonna be awake tonight? I'm working at BB till close and then I can swing by my dads with ya to look (he lives in Spencer but closer to Leicester). I paid $100 with 4 32" "spares" on em. Hows $80? they are off the tires but u can have the tires for free. I had a picture of em somewhere, I'll post it if I can find it.

not a great picture but it's what I have lol

Wow, 80 is absolutely fine with me - assuming the backspacing is not going to put the sidewalls into the springs, that is

I don't need the tires (got a set of 33" ATs in the mail right now) but if you want to get them out of the yard, sure!

I'll probably be up till like midnight or so, not sure.

well if you want to go look at em tonight I'll send ya a txt when I'm out of BB. My dad lives maybe 15-20 mins tops away from you (near Ahearn tractor)

ok cool, I'll see you then!

sadly Jay's rims have more backspacing than I can deal with... still looking

no longer looking for rims... convinced myself that Bill's suggestion of 16x8 with 4.5" BS was valid, ordered some today. Thanks to everyone who tried to find me rims or suggested stuff.
