Posting this up to see if anyone wants to come out and lend a hand. Right now the plans are for the weekend of the 14th since I have a 3 day weekend that weekend. Trailratethis will hopefully be coming to help out and could use some more hands. Plan on starting the cheromanche and if I can get enough people in attendance with a welder (110v) and some clamps and things might be able to get them both cut in half and mostly welded back together in one weekend. Anyone interested shoot me a PM or post on here so I can see how many could come make it.

Interested, I'm going to the track day at the NSS on the 14th. If you want to borrow my 110v MIG set up you're welcome. If you actually use up a tank of gas or a roll of wire just replace it. If you're going after something structural I've got an antique Lincoln 225 that needs 240v power that you can use also. I could come out after the track day. I'll have an impressionable young man with me, his mom is raising him and feels like he needs to be exposed to normal, healthy male endeavors. He's good for manual labor and stuff. The phone number is still 828-7463.

Nothing structural just welding sheet metal so 110v will be plenty. Sounds good maybe a couple other people on here will chime in and the bulk of the project can be completed in one weekend.

If you need my welder speak up quick so that we can get it out there to you. I'll be off Friday but not much use to anyone untill afternoon, Saturday I could be there for a while untill we go to the track day. I'll be off Monday and Tuesday this week.

I'm taking the day off work today being the first day of school for the kids and I'm off friday. So you can bring it out today or friday afternoon whichever is fine. Will prolly be pulling the engine and tranny from the MJ friday morning and prepping it for the knife. Already have my xj gutted just need to pull console and fold carpet back out of the way then disconnect fuel and brake lines to cut it. Checked the frames and they will line up as the XJ rails are at 31 3/8" the whole way and the MJ rails are 31 3/8" about half way into the cab then spread out.

I might feel really good this morning and get that throttle linkage knocked out. Or like usual I might feel pretty crappy and still do it. Give me a call and see what the status is after noon.

Well it seems that the only people in here that show interest are TRT and watrous. Well just to show everyone what's been going on so far this is what was accomplished today by myself.
