Wrangler

Oh, yeah. I agree. I love my Cherokees and they aren't going anywhere. I just miss my convertible BMW. I figured a Convertible Jeep would be the best of both worlds!
I've never even drove a TJ. I'll be sure to take a long test drive before I buy anything.

I have had a 76 CJ-7 and a Willy's CJ-2A and loved both of those. I want a newer one. :) Both of those Jeeps are still in the family I just don't have them anymore.

I hear you on the CJ7; Had a 1979 Renegade at one time, but it became salt-eaten.

I actually liked the CJ, but my preference still remains.

I had 2 cj7's, 1 YJ, 2 TJ's, 2 xjs, 1 zj ... and a pear tree

See, I want a manual for now. Once I got tired of it it'll probably get an aw4.

yeah the ax15 wasnt bad... it was just tired and he mainly wheels his so we decided to swap an aw4 and a rocktract241.

he had a b&m short throw shifter on his and made it alot more fun.

really any year tj isnt a BAD year.... just make sure its rust free and has the options you want.

Come to the dark side! :firedevil Just don't get an internal slave cylinder (not a problem in the years you are looking at).

Nice link! Thanks.

So, I'm looking for a 97-00 Sport or Sahara.

That's what comes with a 4.0 I'll probably just end up saving a few more bucks. Then find me one. I see nice ones for 6 grand. Decent ones for 5.

IIRC the internal slave quit in the YJ in 93.

Ok, 93 is the oldest ill buy. I just can't decide. How well do later model YJs handle on the road with some 31s? Are TJs that much of a better ride if I want to drive to the beach?

Imho. Stock tjs don't ride any better than a stock xj. Infact I'd say a stock xj rides better. But not by much

just sawzaw the liberty into a convertible!
