wrangler trans swap?

my buddy has a 93 wrangler with a 4.0L and ax-15 trans, he just got a NV-3550 trans out of a 01 wrangler with a 4.0L also... does anyone know if it will be a direct swap? also does anyone know the pilot bearing sizes in both Jeeps? thanks in advanced!

I believe the pilot bearings are different, other than that I beleive it should be pretty much plug'n'pray. They both have external slave cyl's
