Is there going to be a night run? I know Kyle let's us do one for the 4 wheel parts customer appreciation. Didn't know if I should get my light bar mounted or not.

I would venture to say no as there are alot of other runs going on during the day and other activities going on in the evening.

Friday nite there is the potluck dinner, and Saturday there is the dinner at the VFW. im not an official WF employee or anything but I'd say no.

I lead the UTV group for the night ride at 4WP customer appreciation event. Right after a TREC race. Apparently some of the people didn't like doing 50+ mph on a whoop section as much as I did.

Great idea, always like folks thinking about stuff that can be done to make winterfest better. Unfortunately, Winterfest is pretty jam packed full of activities and it has a chance to be down right COLD, especially at night.
We have a good idea on the trails and times that we are running already for the 2014 event, so its not something that we are planning to do this year, but something that we could discuss for next year possibly.
I'm sure that I have met you around at a TREC race, so make sure you find me and I can put a face to a name. I'll be slumming in my RV with Fore Wheeler and Red Heep near the restrooms.

As a Winterfest participant that doesn't drink/socialize very much, I definitely like this idea. Winterfest is the one time each year I have the opportunity to wheel and I would love to get more of it in both days.
That being said, I understand others' point of view that want to enjoy the sociability of the campfire/other night time activities. The Badlands closes at 5 or 6 though so I'm not sure this could ever happen unless they extended hours just for us :dunno:

True, but considering even the small ones put out light equivalent to the sun, I don't want that in my mirrors. Same goes for any offroad light, really. Same concept as not dimming your high beams. Not hating on the light bars by themselves.

It's a 31" pro comp... It's bright. But I only turn it on when I'm leading or racing when it was on my RZR. I'm at least courteous enough to shut it off if someone was in front of me.

Kyle tends to let groups do night runs if everyone is responsible. If he even finds one beer can or sees anyone with alcohol he gets really mad and doesn't let you do it again. One person can ruin it for everyone.

+1 I am not much of a drinker either... but I like being social and the turkey is always good.
What about a evening/nighttime wheeling gathering restricted to the quarry area?
