The MWC is once again having their main chapter event, WinterFest, at the Badlands off Road park in Attica, IN. The dates are March 2-4th, 2012.

Right now if everything goes to plan, High2by and myself should be making the journey in 2012.

We had a great time last year and would encourage others to try and go with us.

Maybe it won't snow next year.....but if it does....I'm still THERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Going to pencil this one in on the calendar, hopefully will rewrite it in ink this year!

We're gonna attempt to expand on our adopt a newb program and offer a "classroom" type deal for Newbs. We might need a winching instructor.........Ed........:D

Come on up guys!

I thought since we have moved a little closer, I'd move this back into view.

If you can, you need to try and visit WF. The people and trails are a lot of fun. Definately a great place to help put names to faces.

Come out if you can.

Yep, with either his XJ or mine.

mwc guys.... say i drove my camry up...... how hard would it be to get a riding spot for the weekend?

There are so many people there, I wouldn't think you would have any issue getting a ride. You might post this over in the WF event thread.

Mark and I made the trip last year and it was 7 hours, maybe a little more.

For anyone thinking of driving a vehicle to wheel, please take the time to read the WF requirements: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1074757

They do tech inspection and WILL fail you if you are not properly prepared. This is a big event, so to run smoothly they are very strict with these rules. It makes for a better experience.

We just about left my spare tire at camp only to find out you have to have it. We will also find a better way to keep stuff secure. We passed but weren't nearly as preparred as we thought we were.

so that gives me 3 months to get my bumper installed and CB hooked up then.... i think it can be done. the bumper is almost done, i have the cb, i just don't have any of the cords or an antenna... i might borrow or buy a handheld

Wow, registered and insured? That leaves me out. 12 hours and 30 min drive. Put this down as a someday trip.

FYI, the MWC tech inspection will fail a bungee strap battery hold-down.

Not planning on attending this one but would like to someday. My big question is about the registration/insurance, what if your rig is a trailered rig that is not street legal therefore cannot be registered or have a need for insurance? I understand the insurance is more of a liability so if you flop your rig, any passengers or spectators nearby will be covered if injured. Was just wondering since there's alot of people on here that have dedicated trailer queens that don't see pavement.
