Wind/road noise in Pre '97 XJ VS Wind noise in a TJ

I'm now a believer in the importance of the head liner. I noticed maybe a small difference from the rubberized undercoating, but I did notice quiet a reduction in wind noise from using reflectix on the roof. I shoved the reflectix all the way to the front of the roof so that its running all the way to the top of the wind shield (2nd photo) The 1st photo shows where I'm thinking about using "Great Stuff" foam..

I only did the section just above my head, and now when I drive it feels like all the noise is coming from behind me, which is promising. I'll finish out the roof with reflectix today.

Yeah, I was shocked to find out how much noise the headliner actually gets rid of.

Went from fairly tolerable in the MJ to WHAT DID YOU SAY? real quick when I pulled it for reupholstering.
