Who's heading west for the 30th?

and yea what andy said. If I dont do it now Ill more than likly never do it again. I plan on buying a ring in the next month or so too. and knowing my GF kids wont be far behind.

plus even if I do get to go out again, I doubt ill be able to do it with ross! that alone is worth 5k!

If anything else goes wrong on the burb im going to have to have a long talk with jordans mechanic.

I already had to replace the brake lines that blew out on the way home. Leaving me stranded in a snow storm.

But the rest is mecanicly sound.

Adam throw me some $ for gas and you can ride with us in the burb. I can seat 4 comfortably.

Depending on my financial situation and when I get laid off, I may have to throw you gas money.

Like nothing out here for sure. You can read about how steep they are on the internet, but you sure don't expect it until you are there.

I remember having trouble holding 35-40 mph in my xj on the highway at times lol.

when I lived in Vail, CO for a while the electronic signs going down the rockies to Denver would read "check your brakes", "trucks check your brakes", "no seriously, check your brakes", "your mom called and said check your brakes" and even in an escort rocking 3 cylinders I had issues climbing the mountains, and I was crossing them ever other week or so

aaaaaaaaannnnnndd there is a good chance that time of year being in a snowstorm, I drove through a 18" storm at Eisenhower pass in the middle of june

Nice. Let me know bud.

I will. Really depends on when I get laid off and how much work I can get done off the books before hand. I would really love to drive the jeep out but not sure on that happening.

I'm headed out with Stefan like he said, I'm hoping to be able to do the full 2 weeks since some other plans changed. I have no plans to throw you any gas money, but I will definitely do you some 'favors'.

Either way I wanna go, just don't think the Jeep will be quite up to a 4000+ mile trip. As of now I am in. And I'm definitely down to camp everywhere to save some money.

If I make it, it certainly won't be in my jeep. I'm not likely to make it either way.

I look at it this way, a plane ticket, buy a crapcan jeep, have fun wheeling easy stuff (if there is any) then sell it to the highest bidder upon leaving, fly home. Probably still cheaper than towing all the way out there, and honestly, the cheapest crappiest jeep bought sight unseen off CL before arrival is probably in better shape than my ride.
