Hey, I recently joined NAXJA and I live in Salinas (Monterey Bay in between Santa Cruz and Monterey) which puts me in Sierra jurisdiction. Where do most of you all live? Our local spot is Hollister Hills. The only other places I've wheeled in the last couple years are Pismo several times and a little around Bass Lake in Oakhurst.

Welcome to the sierra chapter and NAXJA. Most of the guys in this chapter are from the sca area, but we do have members all over the bay area and down to the bakersfield area.

Check out www.bayarea4x4.com for mor local guys in your neck of the woods.

Don't forget folks like me up in Eureka...

Dang... Eureka to Bakersfield.... our Chapter territory covers more area than several east coast states combined... :viking:

Read my header...and rightseatsis lives one street over.

Welcome to the Sierra Chapter and Ivan's right, we cover more area than some east coast states. You could meet some folks if you head out to Hollister today...or go to the drive-in in SJ on Wednesdays...or read the Sierra 2005 Events thread. Everyone here is very helpful.

still new to NAXJA as well, i live in alta, about 60 miles east of sac, right off 80.....20 minutes to the fordyce trailhead!

A week or so ago my son and I tooled around on the Miami trail, but it wasn't that exciting without snow. Last spring I did a little GPS trip on a bunch of the forest roads behind Bass Lake. I'm not sure where I went, but I did see what looked like the back side of Calvin Crest camp if that sounds familiar. I love that area.

It's good to meet you all! I've been on the ORC board for the last few years, but just started participating here. You have all been very helpful so far. I hope to get to do some runs at some point. Thanks.

Any specific trails? I'm not far from that area.

Bald mountain is a decent trail if you dont go around the "good stuff".I usually carry minimal trail spare parts when i run it.

Swamp is better, but you should go prepared to stay a few nights if you wanna enjoy yourself.

Where abouts in fresno?

Where is Carnegie? How big of a place is it? I would like to check it out sometime. I live about 20 minutes from Hollister Hills, when you are interested, Chris.

It's in Tracy/Livermore area. I hear it isn't much compared to Hollister.
