Who else hasnt got thier tax return on time?

Ok, so im kind of freaking out a little bit. I filed my taxes the same day as my GF through the same tax agent, they were done on 2/19/12. Well I went to Wheres my refund and my SSN showed up and said it would deposit on 2/28/12, but when I looked up my GF's return it was not on file. She got her return direct deposited on the day I should have got mine, mine is still saying the deposit date of 3 days go with nothing updated or anything.

What could this mean? An audit? Or are they really that backed up?

Anyone else have a similar experience? If so how long was it till you got the return? As of now I could care less about the money and am just worried about a tax audit for some reason or another...

They're "backed up". Imagine how many folks are anxiously waiting to get that money...

It hasn't even been 2 weeks. Be patient.

It took a month to get mine last year.

They aren't backed up......The longer the government holds on to the cash the more interest they collect. We are 16 TRILLION in debt thanks to spending made by this half witted administration. They need every penny they can get at this point to support all the handouts and entitlement programs. Welcome to "hope and change".

I got mine < 2 weeks after i filed. I filed as soon as I could though.

gf's took 3 weeks, I havent filed yet.

a few years ago, they took 6 weeks for electronic filing, that was total B.S. all other years, I have got 2 to 3 weeks

regaurdless of being less than two weeks, why would my GF get hers and not mine filed the same day within 20 minutes of eachother?

I filed mine on the 24th the range the IRS gave me was 3/3/12 to 3/16/12. I don't know what you're using but the IRS should of given you a range and I'm pretty sure you still have some time left.

im not making excuses for them but i did see that there was a hack for people to steal your tax return so if your name is more common you might be pushed back on dates just a heads up but do keep checking and make sure if it is mailed that you get it

I just sent mine out today, but a few years back I screwed up and forgot to attach my W2's to the paperwork. Couldn't figure out why it was taking so damn long since my folks and sister got their back, then I got the paperwork back and a letter explaining what my dumb ass had done:doh:

Its just a pain, they shouldnt even put up a site called "wheres my refund" if its not accurate. Thats like your boss saying, "we will get paid this friday... maybe next wednesday though."

Only reason im worried about it is I have a guy holding a car for me to buy (going on 2 days now). And was curious of other peoples experiences this year, last year I got mine in about 8 days... oh well
