Whistling noise

Hi all,

My girlfriend has a 2003 Suzuki XL-7. When she reaches about 50 miles an hour, there is a whislting noise that comes from the front of the vehicle. As she increases speed, a second, higher pitched noise joins in. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of anything like this. I was thinking maybe there was a small hole somewhere in the windshield area, but I really have not a clue where to start looking. She just bought it about 7 months ago. It didn't happen in the winter, and it doesn't happen at night. So, it's obviously something to deal with the heat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Tim

get some blue masking tape and tape over selected body gaps. Then test drive, so you can eliminate them. I'd start at the cowl area and move onto the doors. I'm willing to bet it's a door gasket problem, wife had oneof those on the Camry that acted very similar, door gasket was pinched, and the door whistled.
Make sure you use masking tape, anything else will damage the paint, especially if you do it in the heat.

Mice are being overworked.. LOL .. I would have to say a door seal and or the small seal that goes through the door for the mirriors

When you're doing the blue tape thing, don't forget the windshield. I chased a whistle all over the place until a rain storm showed me I had a leaky windshield seal. Fixed that and the whistle went away too.
