Finally.......... My wife is employed again!

German company, UFloor is opening a North American market based here in Denver. Not the salary we'd hoped for, but in this economy and massive layoffs going on...... we're not gonna bitch.

And, we'll be going to Ulm, Germany in February so she can get some company training............. and I may have to tear-up the Autobahn! (Once I've figured out the wrong way driving in the wrong seat.......:D)

I knew some fellow old fart would get it....

Just 'cause I'd want to. The company isn't gonna pay for me, just her...... which could actually keep me from going. Gotta look at the expense of it all. I also have my 13 year old Shepherd that isn't doing all that great these days - not sure I'll be able to find someone to basically house-sit him. We found out today as a matter of fact that they want her in Germany the 2nd week in February..... dunno if we can scrape up the funds for me to go along that soon - hell, we'd need to buy the ticket pretty damn quick...... and probably have to pay to expedite the passport process.

Yeah, this could add up quick.......

Just might make it, if you go tomorrow to start the process of the passport.

You'll find German traffic to be very well behaved, and very impatient. I think I had my Renault up to 160 before the cross winds started knocking it around. It wasn't what had been reserved for me, but oh well.

LOL! Guess I shoulda done some research first. Had a guy here at work give me bad info.

But, that's cool then. I figure if I went there, Shari would be busy for the majority of the day and I'd go stir crazy at the hotel - and one can only walk around town for so long.

I found that the Porsche and Mercedes museums are about an hour away in Stuttgart so that could be kinda cool to rent a car and go check those out.

I believe that the Walther gun plant is right there in Ulm where we'd be staying - maybe they have a public access tour or sumpthin'..... :dunno:

Passport should not be an issue. I guy I work with got his two weeks after he sent in the application.
