New to the area and want to give a shop business that has a good rep.
RK 3 link upfront - D30 HP with RK tracbar and steering.
These things need to be done.
1. Alignment of front end, this includes axle center and pinion orientation. Orientate the draglink of the pitman arm back to the BOTTOM of the knuckle.
2. Tightening of the bolts on the inside of the trac-bar bracket and then welding of the bracket to the uni-body. SICK of the pops.
3. I debated futzing with the steering myself and then bringing it to midas or what ever shops they have around here for a truck alignment or what ever.
4. Tire rotation and balance. can always just do this somewhere after the fact.
I am new to the area, no formal introduction yet but I need the jeep to go a shop to fix my god damn mess of steering. I had a shop in AZ do some "work" and lets just say it was not to my liking after my rebuild. You would be VERY surprised if i told you the shop that did this...
What they did.
NOT HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO BE....
Imagine the bumpsteer... Its awful..
Pre Alignment look at the difference..
The shop took the liberty of moving my swaybar mount up and cut my JKS disconnect in half? wtf.. Well it was what it was and I had to drive from AZ to here and wheel on it because I was on a deadline and thought I could trust all this to just be done right.
Oh and the move of the sway-bar disconnect..
Fail
First day of wheeling in MOAB
its all welded back on from a shop in moab VERY nice guy!
I know the RK kit is not optimal but It was great before I swapped axles and had this "alignment" done..
So just some advice and a point in the right direction. I live in North Seattle and would love something close to the area but can drive/drop it off for a few days. So let me know!
