Looking to start a build on my '93 Jeep. Totally new to this and could use some help on where to start. I'm going for 33's i love to have a 6.5 inch lift (should I go with Rouugh Country? I've heard good and bad). it will be a daily driver. I just need help and advice on which way to turn. i already have cut fenders front and back. If you can help me THANKS! :worship:

I'd suggest a 3-4.5" lift. I could see that much lift getting annoying on a DD. You'll want to regear the axles too.

FRAME STIFFENERS! Do not really see why more than 4.5-5" of lift being necessary.
For DD, I wold want something very comfortable to drive. This usually means more money, but worth it in the end.
OME if you go around 3" dpgoffroad is your best bet for this.
IMO, anything over 3-3.5" go with long arms. Lots of reasonably priced kits.
Full traction, BDS, RK

I have the ome 3". Love the ride. Rides better than my car but it's way more noisy!

I'm sitting at around 7" of lift on 30"s which will soon be replaced with 33"s
-Deaver springs all around
-RE drop brackets
-RE super flex fixed lower arms
-Stock upper arms
-Techna-fit wrangler brake line
-JB conversions SYE
-Bilstien 5100's
-JKS sway bar disconnects
-IRO track bar
-IRO rock rails
-IRO steering (awaiting install)
-AR23's (awaiting install as well)

My jeep rides really well (nicer then stock) and has very little body roll with the sway bar hooked up. I daily it and being 6'6" I can jump in and out of it pretty easily.

Thanks for the awesome ideas! and nice jeep sideways. I think im going to go with iro 5.5 inch lift im really looking for some flex. not super worried about the ride because i plan on wheeling a lot. thanks for the help everyone!

My recommendations...

Get off of the computer and go wheeling with your local XJ group. You learn what you need for your area of 4wheeling. Listen in to how the local guys talk and what they prefer. This is how I prioritize my project.

Not to be an ass...but 7" of lift on 30's?!? Even with 33s that's too much; I run about 5.5" and 37's and I'd love to be lower.

Well the springs were supposed to be 5.5" but its sitting close to 7" right now, I'm sure over time they will settle down to their advertised height.
