When is a stroker to overkill?????

yeah, hesco is the same price as a engine lol. Does ATK use good parts in thier engines? Being in the military its hard get time to build something. what are you using as a rear end?

only a 40 hp gain? where did you get that at?

I'm sure I am at least 75 horses up with a budget 4.6 - it will spin the 37's all day long.

I'm putting together a built 4.7 I am expecting to see closer to 285-300 out of.

The power comes from your cam, head, intake, etc. How much you bore it out is almost irrelivant.

Theres no replacement for displacement. That means the more you bore it over the more power you are going to make. Now obviously if you go too far over your risking your cylinder walls if they become too thin. BUT more cubes equals more power and that is the cheapest way to build more horsepower. Thats why everyone builds strokers!!!!:yelclap:

Hmmm.........didn't know that. I've built two strokers, so you mean that if I'd have gone to 4.8 rather than 4.6 or 4.7 that it would have more power?

Amazing.

There's a reason you see 4.6 and 4.7 strokers, because that's what the cylinder walls can usually handle safely.

That and with a 4.6 or 4.7 you have another over bore if necessary.

Yes but we're talking 4.7 vs 4.9 here... .2 liters is not a huge difference in displacement.
