Wheel selection?

I originally had the 10 spoke wheels painted to match my jeep, with 32x11.50's on them and loved the look and got plenty of comments on them. Well, 2 of them are slightly bent, so I found a great deal on some 2011 Wrangler wheels in the 17" flavor and thought it would be a cool upgrade. Well, I went with 265/70/17 tires and while it looks good,,, i don't think it looks "as" good as it did (Too mall crawlish). I even tried adding the paint (temporary blue tape) to test,,, and I'm not sure I like that either. I want others opinions as to what you think. Here is some before and after shots as well as with the blue. Keep in mind, the paint on my original wheels is worn, and the tires are due for replacement.

Not a huge fan... I'd paint them graphite or black... leave the Jeep center cap silver, and possibly the outer ring silver as well.

They are 5 on 5, I have spidertrax adapters, which makes up for the offset difference as well. I like the spacing as they fit well, I just don't care for the appearance as well. So far, i think i'm going to go back to my older setup, but I'm trying to get feedback before i make a decision. The old tires are about an inch wider as well.

I think I like the sliver better then the blue trim. Either way, I think you're right, the look's not quite right,..

almost makes the Jeep look like a hot wheel.

I'm supposed to be on the lookout for those Rubis w/ good tires for my buddy to put on his red 96 sport. I like the look w/o the blue(as said, the darker graphite or black would look good). Who has the best deals on the spidertrax(I've seen the stock $99 per pair)? Any other nice spacers out there?

Might find cheaper spacers on ebay. Nothing but good reviews on spidertrax though. Look for used ones on here or pony up for spiders, better to get the best from the get go.

The JK wheels being bigger I think would not look as big and blingtastic being darker... Perhaps all black or graphite with center cap silver. Or do same design you have but in one of the darker colors but that could make the spokes look even bigger... Can you photoshop?

So far everyone that sees it in person has said my older wheels actually look better. These have a nice, neat look to them, but it makes the jeep look as if it's not used, more of a mall crawler. Which, while being a daily driver, it is very capable, and has surprised many with bigger rigs. At this point, I am on the lookout for a couple of the older wheels since two of mine have a slight bend to them. I will probably go back with my 32x11.50's, so if someone is in need of these near perfect JK wheels in the 17" variety, I may have some for sale soon. As for adapters, I searched all over, but ended up paying $100 per set for the spidertrax. I will have them up for sale as well. I have had these on the jeep less than a week, so they are basically new as well.

Black or graphite metallic. That Bimmer color Dan is using looks sharp. I'd paint something on the Jeep the same color (like the accent stripe in the molding), but that's just me.

I thought to myself that I didn't care too much for that white strip in the molding(never seen it before--is it a blue thing?). I'd be willing to buy those adapters for my buddy for $150 shipped if you decide not to keep the setup(I think it looks good as is or darken the accents/spaces).

The white accent strip is actually reflective silver, and was added over top of the stock red stripe. It looks good in person. Kinda sets it off differently.

I like the graphite, but I'm not sure I like it "enough",,, but it is better than the silver. And yes, I do need bigger tires, but this is a daily driver, and makes it fun showing up the ones with 33"s and 35"s that I can go the same (or close to the same) places they can.

As for selling the adapters, I am willing to sell them if I go this route, but I just paid $200 plus shipping a week ago,,,, $150 is a little low. I might do $175, but let me see what I want to do about the wheels first.
