What's your oil pressure?

We have found that the brand of oil filter has a large effect on oil pressure, a too restrictive filter will drive the pressure up, I've watched my 98's pressure go up about 5-10lbs at speed as I head toward 6,000mi and it's next oil change which tells me the filter is starting to get dirty. I run mobil-1 10W30 and either a Mobil-1 filter or K&N filter. Tried purolator once and it took too long to build up pressure in the winter cold mornings. Before I put my gauges in the idiot light would stay on for almost 20 seconds with the purolator and I was not comfortable with that. I've also had good luck with the dealer OEM mopars, bought a case of them when I first picked up the jeep when it was new.

Cold start-up: 45-50, cold accelarating/cruising(before it's had much chance to warm up): 60, warm/hot cruising:50-52, warm/hot idle: 25-30.

98 4.0, 107k, Mobil1 5W40, PureOne filter(Ford spec)

Mine today started jumping a little bit. Its been running in the 70 range but this morning it was around 80 and would jump and spike itself well above 80 then immediately fall back down where it should be and jump back up again...

I've been wondering what the oil pressure is supposed to be on my Cherokee. '89 4x4, 4.0L I6 moter. Here are my readings, all on a warm engine. Idle-Park = 38-45(same through to about 1000rpm). 1500rpm(approx. 55mph) = at or around 60. 2000rpm(approx. 70-75mph) = at or around 73. These are my figures, just wondering what everyone else's is/what it supposed to be. Thanks ya'll!

My 1994 is about the same.
And thats with a FRAM filter, 225,000 miles, changed every 3000 miles

2000XJ 4.0L <60k miles: 55 cold idle, <5 hot idle,17psi highway, 20w50, purolator filter!

hope that makes some of you feel a little better!

check out my other post on this topic by searching for "low oil pressure" if you are plagued by this.

'88 MJ 4.0 puegot(YUCK-will change soon) 167,000 miles
cold idle 25-30
warm idle 20?
warm cruise 20-22?
no knocks, rattles, or leaks yet (crossing fingers- it is the only one that hasn't died yet, everything else in the yard is dead one way or another. Mostly worn out 4.0's.)
Oh,yeah Castrol 10w30 with a WIX filter. Fram had higher pressure, but I did the "comparison test" myself and learned to "just say no" to Fram.

4.6 liter stroker, almost 14,000 miles, mobil 1 15w50, warm idle 35-40psi, warm cruise (2300rpm) 50-55psi.

About a month ago, my oil pressure was progressively going higher and higher. I knew something wasn't right. Changed the sending unit (which was less than 6 months old from Kragen) with a Mopar from the dealer and corrected the readings. So those of you who are showing abnormaly high pressures should check your sending units.

My warm idle hovers around 20 and I normally run 30wt. Next time my rear main leaks, could I, should I inspect and change the pump? I did a search for "oil pump" and didn't find much to look at.
