Hey guys, I am in a financial pinch lately. What do you think my 2000 XJ Sport, 4x4, 96,000 miles, brand new 4.0 engine (due to new head to replace 0331). Great shape, couple dings. Stock, with warn trans4mer grill guard. I see dealers selling these high, what fair price would you pay? I appreciate it and so does my wife.

i dont see them to high right now to be honest even at dealers. without seeing the pics i would say between 3500-4500 the most. i just found a 2001 with 56K in MASS for $4000

I've seen them lately at dealers for as much as 5900, but they also are still for sale. I bought my 99 for 1800, stock with it needing some work.

I'd start at 3500, or for a quick sale 2800

I am thinking along the same lines as the others. If it was real clean maybe around $4000 and then you can have some haggling room to the area of $3500. The economy has not helped the resale of these rigs and seeing how people were getting up to $4500 on the C4C program, that kind of help to set the value in my area.

Don't sell the XJ...sell blood and semen. Someone else's if you can pull that off?

I know I can always count on Tyler.

Thanks for the information But, I dont think I'll be selling that cheap. Regular DD around sell for more than the other post mention. Must be location I guess. If I do sell this one, I'll definitely hit you guys up for the cheapo drivers you all seem to see!

On autotrader in the chi-town area there are A LOT of 99-01 XJs in good condition with 80k-90k miles for 7-8k, bone stock, at dealerships. Dealership average around here is probably 4-5k though for average condition. Can't say if they're selling for that much...

I got my 97 for 5k a little over 2 years ago I don't think you could get over 3500 for it myself, but i wish you luck. As for the cheapo drivers craigslist always has a cherokee or two for under a grand.

I got my 98 for a 1000. Bone stock some dings and dents (nothing terrible). 193xxx miles. some rust. Rockers are still intact though. I handed them a G and never looked back.
