What Manual Tranny can I bolt...

What manul tranny/transfer case combo can I bolt to my 84 V6?

what years can I use?

can I use a ax15?

I have been looking for about a week now.. not many 84-86 cherokees in my local upulits and the salvage yards have none.

what other years and models can I use?

I found a 88 commanche 5spd/transercase combo..but it is on a 4.0L engine... not sure if it will bolt to my bellhouseing.. plus I need to worry about tranny input lenght don't I?

any help will be greatly appreciated.. thanks.

I'm pretty sure that any AX-5 (the 5speed that came behind the v6 and i4) from any year i4 will bolt right up. Stick with XJ/MJ parts though, as the YJ is slightly different.

You can run an AX-15 with some work.
