That looks like a rough day!

If they didn't change the sideall on the KM2s then you won't be the first with that problem. I love my BFG MT KMs....when they have air in them.

It was an interesting day to say the least. The KM2 is a great tire, the sidewall is supposed to be thicker but I don't know about that...:laugh2:

These break all the time. I think I broke 5 of them. This one looks like it was hit (bent inward) but all of mine broke outwards as did the others I saw.

Really? I am the first one locally to break a 1 ton TRE.

It is a crappy design. All of them broke at the weak point (where yours did at the threads) but as I said earlier, all the ones we broke were 'outward' where yours looked like a result of slamming into something.

Toss the whole thing into the trash and build something else.

When that TRE broke did the jam nut loosen up too? I broke a WJ TRE during NACFest and i'm not sure if it was because the jam nut loosened up or if it was just the TRE that broke. When it broke I could just unthread the threads that were inside the drag link without breaking the jam nut free. Any info is apprediated.

Here is a pic of the break...

Yup

Mine would break like that. and I never found any evidence that it was the jamnut loosening.
