Chili. Tip for those who love the stuff, get some uncooked chorizo and add it in with the chili. Don't drain the goo off it, just cook it in with the rest of the ingredients. And instead of browning the ground beef/deer/whatever in a pan, make it into patties and toss it one the grill for a GREAT flavor boost. Then crumble it up in the pan.
I seasoned the meat with cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika then put it in the crock pot all day while i was at school. Only thing I would add in the future would be liquid smoke.
Came home, shredded it, and had a pulled pork sandwich for dinner.
I was thinking about trying the roast thing this wkend as well... but I think these just won me over. I just need more details on how to cook them :rof: Unless it is "throw healthy portions of each ingredient into bowl, make meatballs, cook"... I think I can mange it if it's that easy.
Pretty easy, other than the fact I do everything by eye depending on the amount of ground beef or ground whatever you are using. I start witih a big ass bowl & throw the ground meat in it then pour beer on it. While it sits I go and chop up all the other ingredients. Since its the year 2010 I use a food processor & drop the peppers, garlic & everything else I want to inclue exept for the spices and cheese. When thats ready I put it in the bowl. Start adding garlic powder, oregano, basil, seasoned bread crumbs. Ball up the meatballs, some people use solid mozzerella and put a little ball of it in the middle of the meat ball. Others use shreaded mozzerella & just pour a whole bag of it in the mix. I always cook mine in the oven on a drip pan. Its way easier than doing them in a fry pan.
