One of my customers wanted to have his DNS handled out of house so I setup network solutions, ATT was supposed to do the transfer on tues as we all agreed upon, planned on and scheduled for. They did it this morning  then they used a / instead of a - had to get them to run an update so Network solutions could handle it. Oh man, 150 ticked off coders could not get into the portal servers  Finally got both the fwd and rev lu's running, now I have to head in and change all the resolv.conf files that I can't get to from outside the firewall cause removed telnet. What a PIA over this dialup.

when i grow up i wanna be a computer geek..... because nobody really knows what they are talking about when they start using technical terms... so we all just agree...
sounds like a Bitch of a day....

Funny, I followed what he said just fine........

Frankly, with that large of a population of code monkeys, I'd rather run my own DNS. OTOH, I have compiled bind......

Yeah, my bind was compiled too until I woke up early this morning and dropped the kids off at the pool... what a relief, I can tell you.

(Pardon the scatological humor, I couldn't resist!)

These are medical coders doing hospital charts, located all over the country, pulling image files off my portal servers, coding them into spread sheets and then dumping the spreads back on the portals for the hospitals to pick up. For those not familiar with this type of coding it consists of each entry on a hospital chart equaling a federal coding system which translates to how much they can charge. Like an aspirin, kind of like three rates, low rate, good rate and one you might go to jail for if you charge that much :D Coders make pretty good money but it takes training, certification and about 2 years experience, they make upwards of 50K for two or three days work and most of them work for 2 or 3 companies so they clear upwards of 100K or the supplement their income and do the coding on weekends. The 2 years experience is so you can learn to read doctor handwriting, a speciality in it's own right.
Never heard of 'scat' huh, you're not missing anything, do a lookup on dejanews :D but not at work....
