Welding Helmets on WOOT

Was skimming through WOOT, thought I would throw this out there in case anyone is in the market...

From what I can find about the helmets...they seems to be pretty decent quality.

Been looking to replace my Radnor Cobra...might go with that Vision 5000V for $109.00

Yeah, caught this tip on Pirate. They seem like solid masks - it's a toss-up between the ArcOne Vision and a Hobart PRO for me (the girlfriend wants an auto-darkening mask now, and agrees that the HF unit I have sucks).

My dumb ass went ahead and ordered a Miller Titanium 9400i, though. Just because I hate having money, and was already ordering a Hypertherm Powermax45 anyway...

Honestly having an expensive helmet that protects your eyes is the best thing i ever bought. Mine is a miller withe the magnifying lens. It was weird at first but once i got used to it i wouldnt go with anything else. It was 300 when i bought it but i only get one set of eyes and ive spent 300 on dumber shit.

That's the logic I ultimately followed. I've spent more than $300 on vision correction in one go, so protection is a hugely worthwhile investment (especially when its features should aid in compliance, which is a huge part of protection efficacy).

When I saw how cheap and readily available replacement lenses and accessories are (like the magnifiers you mentioned), it became a no-brainer.
