I know we needed some rain to help keep the fires in check but SOB! We're gettin' hammered right now. I probably wouldn't mind the rain as much but that damn lightning is the balls. I just got DirectTV installed today and it's been rockin' all day but now it can't find a signal. Maybe I'll borrow the neighbors kayak and paddle over to Dairy Queen for a snack.

Cry me a river whydontcha'. :rattle:
(all pun intended :D)

Haven't got much rain down here in COS.....yet.

About 30 minutes ago that wash in front of my house was about to bust. We could stand on the deck and hear the water. I almost busted out the fly rod.

I know. I THOUGHT I saw water in it and then I went out there to look closer and as soon as I opened the door I could hear the water. It was cookin. Kinda pissed me off actually. I wish that sucker was flowing like that all the time with little brookies hiding in it. I LOVE that sound. Because of all this rain and the move, I haven't fished in like a week. I think I got sprung.

Did I mention that I went down to Ultimate Tardtronics yesterday with the intent to buy that 32" flat tube, flat screen TV for 490 bones. I got there and it was gone. Apparently the douchebag salesman didn't tell me 2 days ago that it was a floor model only. It was gone. I went to Best Buy and got a smokin deal. I scored a 26" flat panel LCD HD for 600 beans. The picture is nothing short of fantastic. I'm planning on taking it for a test drive tomorrow night when Ortiz whips that candy ShamXXXX a$$. I'm wondering if 26" is big enough though. It might be going back on Sunday for something at least in the 50ish range.

Probably not. The guy that set up my Direct TV hinted me in on a little secret that helps folks that just got it installed to get a few pay per view events at no charge. I'll try it out tomorrow since the fight is tomorrow night. There is also a Bluegrass concert up here tomorrow afternoon that we both want to check out. It's free. I promise to go camping with your family eventually. Don't hate me Frank.

Its a conspiracy........and actually about the rain this is normal for Colorado. (except for the last couple of years) June and July are suppose to be the heaviest for rain fall, and SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.

Been raining on this side of the C-divide like cats and dogs. The trails are super muddy making them fun. Just watch out for what's hidden.

I ripped my exhaust out from the the Cat and cracked a manifold when going through some deep puddles on Richmond Ridge near Taylor Pass. I guess the time is right for my headers and bigger exhaust.

I'd rather spend it on good rock rails and upgrading the engine, but you gotta fix what ya can and what's needed.

No rain in CS? What are you talking about?! Well, I live much closer to Monument than the springs, and the weather up here is always worse than in the Springs, usually. But still. It's raining right now! Will it ever stop!!! I know we do need the rain... my mom can't say that enough. But this totally ruins my camping plans. At least my backyard hasn't turned into a river yet. About 7 or 8 years ago we had a really rainy summer, and our backyard is on a slope. It was basically a river leading straight to our basement door. Instead of the nice forest backyard we were used to, it was more like the coast of a beach with all the silt.

Maybe rafting will be really good this year then, eh?

Awwwww man...the gig IS up. I'm just tryin' to fit in Frank.

I did just get back from the store. I don't know what I was thinking. I can't possibly watch Ortiz beat up Shamrock tonight on a 26" TV. I traded it for a 32" Plasma. I don't really care if it rains right now to be honest. Perhaps it could let up a bit later on so's I can walk across the street and grabs me a peanut buster parfait?

Oh man big mistake on the 32" plasma, all that humidity in the air is gonna ruin it. you better let me store it for you down here where it is a little drier.

Ya know what Justin? My mistake...I did not get a plasma. I heard they have problems at altitude with buzzing and things like that. Mine is an LCD flat panel. Those folks at Samsung really know how to put together a TV. I checked out a 42" projection TV but you're supposed to do maintenance on those things every 2 years. The bulb needs to be replaced and it can run 300-400 bones.

T minus 4 hours until the UFC comes on. I think it's gonna feel like I'm in the front row with Ueker.

No, I read correctly. We have gotten a lot lately, though! At least IMO.... Oh well, it makes driving fun.. lotsa muddy puddles around here now and it puts my newly installed wiper arms to good use! I still want some sun, however. :sunshine:
