We have a challenge... could use a few more voices

Bull sh!t, I asked a simple question and got jumped on. I stated some things that I've heard of on here and got jumped for that again.

I even used one from Beezil "unibodys are stronger cuz they are one" or somthing like that.
 
I really like the part about D35's being stronger than a D30.... :laugh3:

Don't waste your time in a fight like that. It should have been obvious long before the fourth page of the article what was going to happen when you posted.
 
I had a 89 ranger reg cab long box with a 3 inch lift and 31's, and remember this is a TTB not IFS. My xj definitally out flexes my ranger, and as soon as I get a chance to hit the trail, Im sure (from experiences with other xj's) that it will out perform my ol' 89 ford. I loved my ranger, and was a very active member in Rough Rangers, but after my yj and now my xj, im not lookin back. IMHO apples and oranges.

the comment over there was appropriate, but keep your cool and prove not only that our jeeps are superior (mod for mod) but so is OUR attitudes intellect.
 
let em be, they are atleast in the dirt, unlike the rice burner crowd.

we all love being on the trail. If I see a Ranger stuck, I will pull him out, I hope he will do the same for me.

Think about it, even if a porsche guy comes on here saying he is faster than us, we are gonna pummel him, he is just on the wrong site.

Man I'd love to take a Porsche Cheyanne (sp?) up to Tellico and get it THRASHED. Then I'd drive around town like that just to see what people said about it. Then again, it probably wouldn't be able to drive around town after a couple of real trails.... oh well... it would still be amusing.
 
well its not like its a hard core agument with someone I don't know- just for fun between some friends- nothing serious but we like to squabble over trivial matters :D
 
any vehicle can be set up to wheel. i saw it mentioned and it comes down to numbers not name plates. personally i would like to think a jeep would kill a ranger in everyway...stock, modified, or standing still...but different strkes for different folks. theres always going to be somebody out there who will try to pick a fight, and all you have to remember is that if they attack you they are probably pretty short in stature. just let your jeep do the talking on the trails.
 
Maybe they need to talk to someone with an MJ, so that they can look at something more similar to their trucks. Just a thought for anyone that has an MJ that is willing to go over and talk to those guys.

I liked the conversation on their board, i thought that it was quite funny.

I've driven my friends '96 4.0 Ranger 5speed w/31s, and there is no comparison to my stock XJ 5speed.

I think I'll go over to their board and tell them that.

All in good fun, of course.

Your right, I appologize.
I went back through and deleted all the naxja stuff and would suggest the others to do the same.
Now I can proceed to have fun.

and I didn't start it.. it started off as "ha ha that thread I started about your jeep is up to 3 pages" damn right I'm gonna go defend myself

Dude... you are in a fight that can never be won.... the reason I say this is because brand loyality and pride overcome reason. You can have a 4x4 that God himself made and it will never be as good as someone with "brand loyality and pride". I witnessed a feud between H2 guys and Land Cruisers. The H2 guys were filled with brand loyality and pride and their minds were blinded with dreams that their H2 was a Humvee. Had that H2 on a pedestal right next to the H1 and spoke as if it were an H1. Nothing could ever be said to bring any other 4x4 close to them. And they said the Land Cruiser was just a Kia. I have owned Land Cruisers and Cherokee's now.. I can compare them because I have owned and wheeled both. How can someone do otherwise? Can't say, "Oh I drove an XJ one time", or "my brothers girlfriend owns and XJ and this is what she says".... I think only those that have full experience with any vehicles being compared have a better insite. That doesnt mean they are 100 percent correct. I just think their word may have more weight then joe blow bring up his girlfriends brothers friends sister n law...

If you wanna have fun trolling and flaming folks.. have fun... just dont bring this board into the fight.... I only can speak for myself.... i am sure others might feel the same.
