I have a 231 out of a 92 xj all that's missing off of it is the speed sensor. it was swapped out only because we found a case for my buddy's jeep that already had a SYE on it. The jeep was at 140k when it was pulled.
he wants $100 for it and it's sitting in my garage in Gardena.

it came out of a perfectly running DD so i would say no. the jeep was stock when he got it I doubt it was ever even thrown into 4 low.
