Wanted: Brake Proportioning Valve

Just thought I would ask you guys before I head off to the junkyard next weekend.

I'm removing the ABS from my 97 and need a brake proportioning valve from a non-ABS XJ.

I need the prop valve with the mounting bracket and the 2 short lines from the master cylinder to the prop valve.

It also must have all the line nuts since I will be reusing them after I cut and reflare the lines.

Will your ABS Prop Valve not work after you remove the ABS unit?

I'm about to do the same thing to my 92.

I guess you can use the ABS prop valve if you change out the proportioning spring and get an adapter for the cap at the rear of the prop valve to hook up both front brake lines. In stock form, the ABS prop valve and one outlet for the front brakes and one for the rear.

I thought it would be easier to just replace the whole prop valve since I would be looking for another to get parts from.

I will have to check on that 89 out there, but it may still be there.

I'm not completely sure if an 89 would work. I would guess it would, as long as it's non-ABS. I can give it a try.

I have what you need, the prop valve and master lines from a 97 non abs set up.. You will have to redo one of your front lines if I recall right.. Where are you located??

Clean-RC, I'll try yours since it's off a 97. Let me know how much you want for it. I'm in Torrance 90501. If you're close by, I can pick it up, or I can pay for shipping.
