Want To Borrow: Vacuum Pump

In need of a vacuum pump so I can recharge the AC in the red pile. Tom, I feel like this is something that would be hiding in a corner of your garage.
It is, but it has a problem at the moment. Sorry.

Ideally, if you have cracked the system, you need to suck it down to get air and moisture out of it before you fill it.

The old shade tree way was to hook up a can of Freon on the port and open the other port, then flush a can through the system, but that can get you in trouble these days.:shhh:

Considering it was professionally evacuated and you're selling it, I'd just use the recharge can on it.

I have the little gauge apparatus that you need for the auto store cans. I can bring it down if you end up going that way. Saves like $30.

I have one of those too, but you'd have to come to me, which would cost you like $30... Frank Z has a vac system, I believe. Again, down here in the springs.

Is Brian commuting up north from Green Mountain Falls?!?

Brian Toscano used to commute from the Springs to Golden on a regular basis. I think he has met half the chapter by hauling parts.

The way I read it is a shop recovered the Freon but then he opened the system himself to replace parts, so it does need to be vacuumed down before filling.

I do have a pump, but I'm nowhere near CO (reading "new threads") and don't have a gauge manifold set anyway.

Is this different than the ones attached?
