Want to add AC switch to my 2000 sport

A cheap slider switch and some hot-glue works, or a fancy switch from OTRATTW. No need to buy that 4-switch bezel.

So if I read this electrical schematic correctly:

... wire number 6 is the AC control. Which according to my picture above this post, is the small, bright green wire.

Anybody disagree?

Anybody see an issue with splicing a switch here rather than on the LP switch in the engine compartment?
I didn't read this whole thing, but if no one else spoke up. All you have to do is wire a switch into the lite green wire you're asking about here. I did this on my 2000, and my current 99. No negative issues on either. I like to run mine on vent/floor on the winter and didn't want the AC cycling either.
 
Thanks for the confirmation! That is exactly what I did. Super easy! I'll do a quick write up with pics once I get a more permanent switch installed.
