Re: Where to wheel - Red River Locations

Is anyone interested in weelin near Waco. I have a friend who's yj challenged. That has 310 acres that wheels when wet. I would love to get a group to wheel when the weather permits. He cut a hella trail last year that claimed a chevy truck, and a ford. Only jeeps made one creek crossing. If you're nearby hollar.

Where are we talking near Waco and what's the terrain? My inlaws live in Speegleville so Waco is convenient. I also have a brother in Little River with a TJ that would probably be willing to join in if he could.

I am in waco and would love to check it out!

Those that travel ... I'm up for you being able to crash at my place. I have spare room and a 5th whell RV to accomodate if needed.

it's by Axtell, sorta between West and there. Mud, a red brown clay in areas that tests the tire voids, some nice trails in the woods very few rocks, a creek that can be crossed in one area I know of, tried another, almost lost my toy. I had to put it in 4wd to get to the trails last time, the pasture was a challenge to a set of 33" tsl's. Tryin to figure out how to have a cool get together, he's got a crew of about seven or eight locals in anything from heeps to new extended cab 150's. Trying to talk him into a barbeque at his place surrounded by hours of getting stuck and unstuck. He's into the wheeling scene, so... Hopefully we can arrange a date soon to get together and check it out. I'm tryin to get him to do an every so often event. He grooms his trails with a dozer, I haven't seen it since last year, but I think if we could all get together on it we could have a good time and maybe lock in a place to wheel when the weather permits. I figure I'm about 30 miles away, but if the weather permits you could all crash here, eat dinner, breakfast and spilt the next day. An official meeting, with beer and such.
