It's broke.

Had a.. Line to the heater core... With a part on it? Break last night. Cap says "Prestone" I can't imagine it's a stock piece, what would this be called so I can go grab one today?

...And if it's not stock, what the hell does it do? You can open and close it, it says to keep it closed tightly (duh)

Its an inline adapter that allows you to screw a garden hose into it and flush out your cooling system. Should be able to snag one at any parts store.

Ever since having one fail, I take them out.

Seeing those fancy ass spark plug wires surrounded by the rest of that dirty ass jeep stuff gives me the giggles...... :D

Fixed it that day, they had two of them at the shop, 5.99 a piece so I just bought both of them. Hypoid, I had the same feeling going in there to buy a new one thinking, "If that happened on a trail.." So I've got a trail spare :D

The one that broke on me happened when the engine was hot. The cap leaked a little, no problem, just tighten it. Soon as I touched it (literally), the thing broke and sprayed hot antifreeze everywhere.

I have the brass hose mender in my trail box. I used it when I broke the Plastic heater control valve, while flying down Spring Gulch Road.
