URGENT - Tranny shop!!!!

I need a 2nd Gear Servo Cap and Snap Ring for an 87 to 2001 AW4. Any ideas where we can get one in the Bay Area? No dealership west of the Florida has one.

Were suppose to be leaving for MOAB Sunday Morning :-(

You should try evergreen transmission thay did a C6 trans for me.Thay were great.

I think we should have talked to his mechanic further. Come to find out the part does not have to be new. It can come off of any AW4, between the years of 87 to 2001. Aaron is hitting PnP this morning to find one. From what we understand the part is very easy to pull out and install. Take a look at the driver side of an AW4, towards the front on top. You will see a a cap that is inset about 1/4 inch. That's it, and apparently the servo is held in by the cap and is spring loaded. The cap is held on by a snap ring. So either the mechanic did not put the snap ring on or he put it in wrong.

We are hoping we can find one. Most people don't know what they are because they are part of the housing and never fail.

Good News... Teh mechanic found what we needed. THANK YOU ED (himmred) for the shop recomendation. He was the only guy to have the part we needed.

"Bobs Almeden 's transmission" He knows what hes doing. Been doing it for years i had work done on my jeep from him and he also has a build wrangler, with Ls1 ford 9' front back. The jeep is sick.
