Can somebody explain how to attach a new track bar to the upper mount?

What brand of trac bar we talkin'. In most cases with a heim jointed end, you will need to drill out the taper in the bracket with a 5/8" drill bit, then feed the new bolt through that.

it may be easier to deal with if you remove the bracket from the frame, it is easy to do, and then you can work on a bench. that is just my 2 cents, the track bar that i installed came with the bracket.
