Went to pull out all the carpet today because it started to mildew from all the rain...this is why it is important to plate the frame and build a cage. I'm sure there's more cracks along the tunnel but I don't feel like cringing anymore than I have tonight. How's the old saying go? "She's gonna fold like a taco" :helpme:

yeah I'm with John, it's way too late for welding. i'd be willing to bet it's starting to pull the spot welds around the hatch and separating at the top of the rear windows.

that's exactly what happened to my black jeep, and eventually led to this:

bawahahahahaha.... :laugh3:

Before a lift or anything, structural reinforcement needs be done first....folks just don't want to listen. :twak:

time to call the recycler.....just get a fresh body and start over properly.

Your body is falling apart. You break knuckles, high steer arms and transmission bellhousings.

Have you considered the problem being behind the wheel?

Yeah unfortunately thats happening.

Who in their right mind would go as far as doing a low cog build on tons and 40's without plating frame rails? Is it linked or leaf spring?

That's XJ 101

I told him to toss it and get a used buggy and fix it up.....way cheaper in the long run.

Exactly. This was more of a "not what to do" thread.
