UGH! Trac Bar

I have a pro crap trac bar that uses a $150 Heim Joint(Its Shot), the trac bar has a 3/4 fine thread end. Now here is my question could I get the RE trac bar bracket(RE1665) and still use my trac bar if I put in a 2" Johnny Joint that uses a 3/4 welded stub on it? Has Any one done this? I would hate to buy another new trac bar since this one is still good other than the heim joint. Would the Johnny Joint be strong enough? Or am I just nuts? Any help would be great.

i was hoping to get away from the heim joint, and goto a rubber bushing, johnny joint or a superflex joint. I just wanted to know if any made their RE 1600 trac bar work with a RE 1665 Bracket by chaging the end on the trac bar.

the johny joint will be strong enough and will fit in the trackbar bracket....

I worry about the threads being different, but a Johny Joint with a welded stud (3/4" fine thread) is only like $30 anyway...

Are we talking heim/jonny combo? I worry about the rigitity being too much to absorb the jarring. It may break welds, or rip mounts off. Then again maybe not.

If its bushing bushing it may be too sloppy.

I have/had a pro comp track bar with that heim on one end. I have hammered the sh!t out of that vehicle for a year and a half and the heim is still good. I still use it and I cut off the poly end, straightened it a little, and now have a Johnny Joint on the other end. It actually works well.

I do have beef with the actual 'Johnny Joint' from Currie. I seem to kill the inserts pretty fast and unlike the RE or Poly Performance joints, I cannot tighten them up to make them nice as they wear. I use three Johnny Joints on my junk and I HATE them. Next rendition I will definitely use GOOD heims or RE/Poly Performance joints all day long.

My track bar does run rather flatter since I have a ‘tower’ to connect it to my axle so the heim doesn’t seem to over extend (no need for misalignment spacers): I know a sh!tty pic but it shows how high my track bar mounts and how pseudo flat it is with a flat bend at the heim when the axle is level)
