Turd Bomb, a pavement bound MJ project.

really? I don't know, I have a few buddies in the old chevy scene, and that is the transmission he is looking for. Talks it up a lot. Maybe that was why, his firebird goes through crappy transmission fairly often.

I will need to find a solid transmission to go behind the stroker, and I want to boost it too, so I just do not think an AX15 would cut it.

OP, i cant wait to see this done. im kind of scared of the flat but if you do it right it should look sharp.

well i can tell you from personal experience that they cant handle 700 hp. i have watched my dad blow up 3 of them completely. I dont think that you have to worry with an inline 6 stroker though. btw the car that was ripping through them = 1969 chevelle ss w/ a built 454 transplanted.:confused1

I'm with it so far...but also with the people who thumbs down the flatbed.

I think you can do it. I am interested. If you wanted to have an MJ like everyone else you would have just bought a lift kit and some big tires, then put somebody's aftermarket bumpers on it.

Be different. If i does not turn out I am sure you can find a bed somewhere, just takes time

I'll take it as a challenge, then, to build a bed that changes your minds. (or at least doesn't make you vomit)

Better make us proud! :D

Advanced adapters makes a kit. It's super easy, just make sure the frame mounts are on the correct sides...otherwise your engine sits roughly 3 inches too high and the bell housing won't fit.

This is going to be interesting, to see witch is faster the truck or your drivers license going by by. I know witch it would be with me, thats why
I've never built one. Have fun 4x4fever

An actual "Street" MJ. Do not remember how many were produced.

I like the black one, looks hot, that is what I am shooting for with mine. As far as the actual street MJs I think it was only like 2k or so made if that.

Nice project, i just recently sold my 86 yota w/ a 383/sm465/ford 9" dropped 4/5" on some 18" lexus rims. It was fun but got me in some trouble so i had to get rid of it. the funny thing is I knew it wouldnt be a good idea, I had just sold my Porsche 944 for the same reason :)
For now Im sticking to the lifted XJ w/o sway bars, to scary to go fast and my 86 f35 4x4 diesel/4 speed, dont think it will do over 60 so no more trouble.
I might be partial but this is a idea for a dash
