Tube Fenders

Sorry for the OT question, but are you running those crawlers on 8 or 10 inch wheels? 35 x 13.50 15s right?

What do you have for a pipe bender?

Did he just say "pipe"? :twak:

:D

Wasn't suggesting you didn't wheel your rig. The scratches on the bumpers are testament to that!

But there are trails out in JV that would tear it up more than you would like.
The protection you added would make some of the trails out there doable without too much carnage.

again, i vote "Best Looking Rig" on NAXJA or anywhere really...

the driveway pics, with the supplemental wheeling pics just reaffirm that

Great job!

and not only does HE wheel it, the mrs. wheels it as well!

He and Becky definately wheel it!!

I couldn't believe they went up Escalator after I had my cage into the rocks on both sides. I was thinking there goes that nice paint job. But his spotting skills kept him safe.

I'm dreading what could happen when we run Indy/Patriot and 21 road later this year.

I'm just gonna give him a bottle of touch up paint if/when they get scratched.

Your rig is really solid. Nice job on the fab work. It's unique and inventive. I like that you've done something different with your build. Nice job!

Another OT question, WHat axles are under your rig??

I have a dana 44 in the rear out of an XJ with 5.13 gears and 33 splined axles with a detroit. In the front I have a shortened HP Dana 44 out of a 1976 Ford F-150 with an ARB.

Here is the build for the shorten HP 44:

whats the width of the flair in order to cover those 13.50's?

The flares I build are 3" flares. They cover most of the tire but not all I would say you would be safe with a 4.5" flare to have complete coverage.

They are actually on 15X8 rims but with the DIY beadlocks the rims comes out to be 15x9. If I had a chose I would run a set on 9" or 10" wide rims. 15x8's will work but I think they are a little narrow.

ya i was giving you a hard time about the perfect paint and great job - again very cool

on a side note - they kind of look like what slickrock gear has been putting out but a different flare ie using the tube like spyder, etc.

hey I think I saw you in moab this year, a couple times on metal masher.
