TSF trip with the parents 8/24/14

I promised my mom I'd get her out on one trip this summer and show her the kind of wheeling I do and the rocks my tires can go over. At about 7:45 Mikey came walking through my front door and soon after we rolled out towards the hills. We stopped for gas and made it to Rogers staging area by 9:10.

The general plan for the day was to hit three trails, and anything more was bonus. Those three trails were fire break 5, airplane hill, and waterfall. So after taking gravel road to fire break five we started on the first section, and I told my parents this was their warm up

Next we hopped on yours truly, saddle up. I didn't get any pictures of that, but next we cruised over to airplane hill.

Mikey went before me, and after we got him up I pulled a bronzewyrm and cruised right up it (for the most part).

The last video stops righy before I get to the ledge, but I just bumped it and got right over.

I didn't really get any pictures of Mike going up it, maybe he can post up from his collection later.

Following airplane hill we took gravel over to hogsback and just did the first hill climb section. We jumped back on gravel and aimed towards rocky uphill, where we actually went down it to get over to archers. Didn't get any pictures as they're pretty common trails.

On our way we passed a couple buggies on the side of the road and talked to them. One of the guys took first place and made it from before the filter at waterfall, through the filter, up the FACE of waterfall, and to the top past the winch post in 44 seconds. No, that's not a typo, 44 seconds!

I'm sure some of you on here know who he is.

Once we got to waterfall it was apparent there had been some big tires with big horse power on the trail but nonetheless the filter was okay and my usual line allowed me to go right through.

After waterfall we took gravel road back to Rogers staging, and I finally stopped and checked out this trail I've been wanting to look at for a while. There's no sign, can any of you lend any info on it?

Supppper steep hill climb

After we drooled at that we headed back go Rogers staging area and aired up and headed for home. When we got back to Rogers to air up, it was 3:25. Not a bad group of trails to accomplish in half a day of wheelin!

Gotcha beat is a 2 wheel motorcycle trail.. And I believe its a pretty technical one at that..

Same color as my XJ I like your photos for sure. My wife and I 4 wheel alone 90% of the time in the mountains but take very few photos of the XJ or ourselves either. Here are 2 from last winter deep in the Ozark Mountains that day we ended up with 18" of snow before we left, spent the entire there.

Just in front of this photo is a deep stream washout 8' deep we had to cross.



This is taken near the top of one of the mountains in the area.
