Trying to get back into it...

Found a 98' with 114k it's a crimson red sport with cloth and an HPD30 and I didn't get a look at the rear axle. Not really concerned with the rear as I plan on an 8.8 atleast or maybe bigger soon. It is going to be $3,800 from a GMC dealer, I talked them down from $4,000 they weren't budging much. Only issue's are a loose driver seat, driver door speaker doesn't work and lock switch doesn't work on driverside. Should I make the jump? I have been looking for an XJ/MJ up in North Dakota for the last 2 years and haven't found anything worth it until this one. Talk me into it if it is a good deal or out if you don't think it is good. Thanks.

Yeah I looked for steals like that but haven't found anything. These things go like hot cakes up here for some reason. Last 00' I saw was priced at $5,400 with 140k and it sold in three days.

price sounds a bit steep in my opinion for the year and the problems mentioned. If your up for a bit of a drive, check out Craigslist in other locations. I sold my last 98 that had an RE 4.5" lift and was sharp for only $2800 w/ 160K on it. I sold Collin a 97 w/ a bunch of miles on it but it was a Country package and everything worked as it should and it went for like $1300. Deals are out there you just have to travel to find them somtimes.

first problem is you are looking at a dealership...

check out craigslist. its amazing for jeeps. and i just got into jeeps about 2 weeks ago. already have it almost 100% for under a grand

I'm telling you lol, I'm not new to searching. Tried craiglist, minotads.com, autotrader, local papers. The biggest city around here with a population over 100k is over 5 hours away. I've tried to be patient but I'm getting lonely, and I have been a one vehicle family for over a month now since we sold my wifes Volvo.
