Truck haven meet & greet

This was going to happen at RICKS (jump this) place, but he got hurt as some of you know so he had to postpone..GET WELL SOON RICK..I understand some of you wanted to change it to truck haven...Some of you folks wanted to camp out at ricks place, well now you can camp out at truck haven...

I am just helping out with this thread..I am NOT going to be camping there, i only live a hour away..I am trying to get CURT (AKA THE MAYOR OF TRUCK HAVEN) to come out on saturday to show some of the folks around...This is a great place for STOCKERS and BUILT RIGS..This is also a great place for you and your family to come out an have fun and relax.

So post up if you want to go.. 01/16/2010.. Some folks may go out on the 01/15/2010...(FRIDAY night)

whoa now, I said nothing about my wanting to change it.

You guys were looking for a place, I named one. I probably won't be attending. ;)
 
haha you didnt need to fix it ;) i just wanted to make sure it was clear I won't be there.

If i hadnt broken my junk I'd probably have shown though. :)
 
No problem.... I just want folks to know that we can still go an play..I just got mine done today..It broke thursday..KILLED the weekend, had to drive the wifes..

Thursday Carol and I put my trackbar into the oilpan, and the oilpan into the crank. Mike-G brought me 6 quarts of oil and a tube of RTV, had that fixed friday, and then saturday I flatted a 37" MT/R and then busted a CTM, maybe balljoints, and possibly a shaft. Friday I road with Goatman out at JV, we took out a brake line, a fuel pump and maybe his transmission.

It was one of those weekends. ;)

Ooh, I might be into this. Supposed to be getting the gears installed on the 8th, so I the jeep should be ready. Just depends on funds, but I think I should be able to scrape something together.
 
I think me and Jeeper john plan on getting there Friday, camp out and run both friday and sat. So count me in for the Sat run. I think firday ill explore the easy stuff.

Stupid question but did you get your jeep back on the road? i know you had very little left to do after i left Sat. OH yeah, we need some of that carne asada we ate last sat with is at TH.
 
I might have to bring my 3rd old daughter with me but I should be there
 
Carol, if you dont wanna run your rig on any of the more techincal trails you are more than welcome to ride along with me and even drive my heep. :P

I just put in my for the 15th off of work, should be no problem. That means im leaving early friday morn to get there, set up, hang out and explore the easier stuff.

So yeah, I'm in. Probably will come out Fri night, but after dark. Can we be more specific than "along the side of the dirt road that N. Marina Drive turns into after the housing tract?" =). Before the "hill" or after? Right or left side? Gonna stay close to the road? Anyone who's going to be there Friday night got a cool blinking light or identifiable flag?

Julio & John, I know your rigs are white... I've seen them both. Seen pix of your rig, Scott (the garage wall snuggler, right?) Doesn't mean I'll ID them right off in the dark & all the other camps... IIRC, cell signal's spotty out there even on a good day.

And I don't think my current TomTom does GPS coords, and my Lowrance is at a friend's waiting to get the power connection soldered back up. If Karen goes, she's not new to following me around lost in the dark, and has a better GPS I think, but I dunno if she's going yet.

what i can do is get the coordinates when i get there and drive back to an area where there is signal and post them up from there. Assuming i get there way early in the day.

Wow, Julio--you'd let me make you my b!tch in your own rig? :D Sweet!! I may take you up on either riding along or driving; we'll see. I've been being Cal's b!tch a lot lately (when I'm not driving it & bashing his oil pan with the trackbar, that is), and am looking forward to driving my own junk a bit.
